about LISA NEILL MS CCC-SLP
Hello and welcome to Talk Time Speech Therapy. My name is Lisa Neill. I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communicative Disorders and a Master of Science Degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Rhode Island. To practice speech and language pathology with high standards, I maintain a Certificate of Clinical Competency with the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) as well as a license from the Rhode Island Department of Health. For over 25 years I have enjoyed working as a Speech Language Pathologist as well as working in the field of Early Childhood. My overall experience has been in a variety of settings and with a variety of age ranges. I have worked with children and families in Early Intervention Services, in public school settings as well as outpatient programs. I have worked with adults with developmental disabilities in group homes and in programs designed to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I have maintained clinical competency through continued education including a variety of courses and conferences focusing on improving the speech and language skills of children, in the birth through elementary school age range. I have certification in the Hanen "It Takes Two to Talk" program which is designed to provide parents and guardians of young children with the tools they need to help their child develop the best possible language, social and literacy skills.
The American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) recommends Evidence Based Practice which is the process of applying current best scientific evidence, client perspective, and clinical expertise to make the best decisions about the services provided to you and your child.
